The Sculptor's Nightmare is a silent American short film released in 1908. This comedy film is directed by Wallace McCutcheon and has used clay animation in the movie.


The story in brief:

The film starts with a political debate among some gentlemen in a club. They fight with each other on whose bust will be replacing that of Theodore Roosevelt inside the club. Without coming to an accord they reach the studio of a sculptor and each of the men bribe him to create the bust of his favourite candidate. The sculptor takes his model to dinner with his newly earned commission. He gets drunk and engages in a brawl inside the restaurant. He is arrested by the police and put behind the bars. Inside the cell he has a nightmare. Watch the movie to know what he dreamt of.
