Les cocottes en papier (Paper Cock-a-Doodles in English) is a French silent short film directed by Spanish film director Segundo de Chomón. This 1909 film has some good stop motion animation work along with live action.
The story in brief:
The film shows a lady with a whip entering a stage decorated with origami cock-a-doodles. Then a clown enters and keeps a magical box on a table in front of the lady. The lady makes some gestures and a miniature figure comes out of the box and performs some tricks with origami figures. They even make a dancing couple appear and perform on the stage. They again make some origami figures appear and move around all over the stage following their directions. Watch this magical short film to see what else happened on the stage.
