Adaptation of Noah’s Ark

Tale of the Ark (1909) is a British silent children’s short film released in 1909. The film is directed by Arthur Melbourne Cooper and is a mix of live action and stop motion animation using plush toys and plastic animal figures.


The story in brief:

The film is based on the famous story of Noah’s Ark from the Bible. A little girl is seen playing with her doll house and toys in the compound of her house. She falls asleep while playing and dreams that her doll house is actually Noah’s Ark and toy animals and birds are boarding the ark. Soon it starts to thunder and heavy rainfall begins to flood the place. The ark starts to float taking all the animals to a safe place. Watch the movie to see what happens after this.
